The network and security used to host the Spiegelapp are provided by True, so we can focus on the ongoing development of the Spiegelapp as a learning and development platform for people and organisations. Securing sensitive personal data and infrastructure
The Spiegelapp has worked with True since 2019, because they are one of the few organisations in the Netherlands with ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certification for their Data Centre and Managed Hosting services. ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 are (inter)nationally recognised data security standards. This means True complies with the requirements of their management system and has implemented 130 security measures. Their ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certificates are one of the reasons many public sector organisations, financial institutions, insurers and medical companies use the services of True.
The Spiegelapp from H+C is a learning and development platform that uses sensitive personal information. As such, we believe only the highest available security level is suitable for the services of the Spiegelapp and H+C, which is why we work with True. True is of course also ISO 9001 certified. True also has an ISAE 3402 type 2 report. With this assurance report, clients, their stakeholders and auditors have access to information and certainty about the management of the IT processes they have outsourced to True. These reports show exactly how True handles information security and risk management.
Redundancy is built into their infrastructure from the top down. The True data centre has two independent energy suppliers and an extensive emergency power solution. All racks in the data suite have separate A and B feeds. All servers managed by True have double power supplies that are connected to both feeds. As regards connectivity, True is directly connected to the AMS-IX. True has access to two 100 Gbit lines from two transit partners. Thanks to these three connectivity partners, you can rest assured that your data will always be processed rapidly.
Tweaking and tuning
When many users are active in the Spiegelapp from H+C at the same time, True can quickly identify whether the database must handle too many queries, if there are too many web server connections or if a different caching method is required. Because True is responsible for all layers and maintains and analyses live and trend statistics for all these layers, they can make proactive changes at every level. This allows queries to be processed even more effectively.
