Privacy statement
Your privacy is important. In this statement, we explain how we handle your personal data. Personal data includes information such as your name and e-mail address. This statement explains which personal data we collect and what we use your data for. We also explain the rights you have. If you have any questions after reading this statement, please contact us.
The two purposes of data collection
1. Sending the knowledge newsletter. You can subscribe to our knowledge newsletter on our website. By entering your personal data (your first name, surname and e-mail address), you grant us explicit consent to use the data you entered to send you the knowledge newsletter.
2. Collecting general, anonymised visitor data for our site, including the most frequently visited pages, how long someone stays on a page etc. Using this information, we can improve the website and gain a better understanding of which information is interesting to visitors. We can then use the general, anonymised data we collect to place more targeted information on our website.
How long do we store your personal data?
When you subscribe to our knowledge newsletter, we will store your personal data (your first name, surname and e-mail address) for as long as you remain subscribed. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking on the link at the end of each newsletter.
Securing your data
We have implemented technical and organisational measures to prevent the theft, loss or other unauthorised use of your personal data. We use secure connections and encryption to protect the communication between our website and our visitors. We have also implemented appropriate physical and logical access control measures and we have signed data processing agreements with our suppliers.
Who has access to your personal data?
We send our knowledge newsletters using Mailchimp. Mailchimp never uses your personal data for their own purposes. Mailchimp uses internet technologies that track when e-mails are opened and read. Our communications officers can see and use your personal data and the general anonymised visitor data from the website to improve the communication sent by H+C.
Your rights
You have the right to view the personal data about you that we have in our possession. If this information is incorrect, you may ask us to correct it. You have the right to limit or withdraw your consent for the use of your personal data. You also have the right to data portability. This allows you to easily transfer your personal data to another supplier of a similar service. If you wish to exercise your rights, contact us on +31 70 3469205 or send an e-mail to hallo@spiegelapp.nl. We will first verify that you are the person you say you are. We will not release information without confirming this.
What do we do with cookies?
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that we can use to improve our website. We only use (essential) functional and analytical cookies. We do not process any of your personal data when these functional and analytical cookies are used.
Complaints, questions, suggestions for improvement?
If you have any complaints, questions or suggestions for improvements in relation to the data processing on our website, please let us know by contacting us at e-mail. You are also entitled to submit a complaint directly to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
